Why Atheism?

The world today is a plain composition of blind traditions and beliefs. None of which serves to be more than just a blindfolded path, that one is walking on. Seems like the world has stopped thinking. The logical conclusions and pragmatic approach to life seems mere thoughts.

Well, the above lines may just seem to be the perfect start to the question arisen in the title.
The pessimist inside may iterate the words above but the better optimist knows the world will change.

Firstly, what is Atheism?
In the "Atheism" page of wikipedia the definition goes somewhat this way:
"Atheism is, in a broad sense, the rejection of belief in the existence of deities. In a narrower sense, atheism is specifically the position that there are no deities."

Mine is different though:

Atheism is a state where a person believes in himself more than anything or anyone. It is the state where a person thinks and broadens his mind to the facts of the scientific researches. It is the state where a person thinks to the betterment of the society and people. It is the state where a person questions.

Today in the current scenario we have everything at just the press of a button, the best of shelters, food and clothing. The world has advanced enough to find new abodes for human existence. The "today" is result of the many sacrifices and questions put forward by the thinkers and atheists who had seldom any restrictions to their thought processes. Wondered ever, what life would be if  sun and other planets revolved around earth, if the world was flat, if demons controlled eclipses and the society would be just a ruler's world. The significance of the the thinkers whose extensive questioning in overcoming the barriers of human restricted ideologies could be underlined with the fact that they went against the society's sculpted world where existed god and his powers to decide one's destiny.

If every person could understand the meaning of love and truth there would be harmony. There could be a possibility of god's existence as there happens to be two theories of evolution. A null start and steady state theory. With the first of the mentioned theories there has to be a point where the life was null and someone had to initiate a start to the world. In this scenario a god could exist and is fairly logical. But, in the second scenario of steady state theory, the world has been undergoing a series of evolutions and goes on to evolve constantly and thus there is no need of the someone to initiate a life form.

The abstract form of believers of god cause no harm as there exists a single entity and thank him for the creation. This naive form of belief proves logical and gives self confidence in the form of an external source motivating the one when needed.

But as the humankind is capable of thinking, there evolved a set of thinkers who would need certain obligations and implementations on the basis of certain factors. These factors evolved as a result of one's desire to rule over other and one's desire to keep off a few down under. The fact that the traditions still are there in hands of male dominated deities reiterates the fact of the whole traditional malfunctioning.

An atheist needs no tradition to oblige to. An atheist respects every fellow being irrespective of his caste, community, creed, color, region or religion. An atheist is open minded and thinks for the betterment of society as he thinks of all to be one race of mankind. Others' social and cultural aspects do not bother an atheist. An atheist would be open to acceptance. As the acceptance through a process of debates and talks lead to a fundamental understanding. On the other hand the believers who follow depth in their traditions adhere to them and draw a curtain. The facts that do not hurt their beliefs are respected and others are tabooed.

The world today needs the openness to accept and evolve with the time. There is a need to psychological evolution. The atheists barred from knots of traditions would lead the society in respecting the changes and the existence of morals and ethics as entirely independent entities untouched by traditions.
